Key Kiwis players in South African 'crosshair', says Kirsten

Johannesburg, Feb 14(ANI): South African coach Gary Kirsten admitted that they have decided to target key players in the New Zealand squad but will not indulge in a war of words.
"There are a few ... we're not going to name them. There's certainly guys that we feel if they don't have a good series it will play into our hands. We'll do everything we can to exploit that," Kirsten said.
Kirsten said it was natural some key senior players would be in their sights, stuff.co.nz reports.
"We feel if we play really good cricket and don't say anything we're going to win more games than we're going to lose. Our focus will be on what we're going to do. If New Zealand feel they want to get verbal with us then that's their business," he added.
New Zealand had under captain Stephen Fleming launched a deliberate campaign of verbal provocation aimed at South African captain Graeme Smith.
The last encounter between the teams when New Zealand eliminated South Africa from the Cricket World Cup in Dhaka last March, was also acrimonious. New Zealand players Kyle Mills and Daniel Vettori and South African counterparts Faf du Plessis were fined for "inappropriate and deliberate physical contact between players".
Kirsten's biggest concern is his team's quick adjustment to New Zealand conditions for his side.
