Ponting may replace injured Clarke as skipper in triangular ODI series

Melbourne, Feb 13(ANI): Australian captain Michael Clarke will undergo scans on an injured hamstring, which if found worst than expected, can lead to return of Ricky Ponting as captain in the triangular ODI series.
Clarke suffered a strained right hamstring during Australia's four-wicket defeat to India in the Adelaide ODI.
"It's a little bit sore at the moment ... so fingers crossed. Hopefully everything comes up okay in the scan," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Clarke, as saying.
His statement comes ahead of selection of the Australian squad for the following two games.
The initial squad was only picked for the initial three games of the series, which ended in Adelaide.
The selectors also face another prickly decision regarding wicketkeeper Brad Haddin's inclusion in the squad.
Haddin was axed from the initial squad in favour of Matthew Wade.
"Obviously the team was only picked for the first three games. So we'll spend tomorrow (Monday) trying to work out and, I guess, talk about a lot of players and Hadds will be one of them, no doubt," Clarke said.
