Unbeaten Pakistan 'confident' of beating India in U-19 WC quarterfinals
Islamabad, Aug 18: The Pakistan cricket team had so far won all their World Cup U-19 matches in Group B with utmost ease and comfort and is confident of beating arch-rivals India in the quarterfinal on August 20.
If Pakistan manages to beat India, the win will not only confirm their status as the top team not only in the subcontinent, but also in Asia and it will also enhance their credentials for the future.
Pakistan u-19 team head coach Sabih Azhar was of full praise for his squad.
"I am totally satisfied with my boy's performance as they are picking at the right time. We have won all the three matches in the group so far we played. Although all the victories were achieved comfortably yet we will not sit back, as there is no room for complacency neither the team can afford that," he said.
"Although Indians are tough opponents and the pressure is always on both sides when we play against each other at any level or format but I am sure the way my boys are playing, we will pull off victory and beat India in the crucial quarterfinal match," Azhar added.
"It will be typical Pak-India match and our players are very excited and ready to deliver. By the grace of Allah, we will give the nation Eid gift by defeating India in the quarterfinal.
"The players are working very hard and fully focused on the task ahead. I will take this opportunity and appeal to the entire nation to pray for Pakistan's success," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Pakistan U-19 team captain Babar Azam, while talking to The Nation, said: "Our morale is sky high as boys are performing exceptionally well and I am quite confident we will came out in flying colours against India in the quarterfinal."
